Special Education Services

Approximately 14% of the Bellefontaine student population has been identified with a disability. These exceptional students have unique needs and characteristics that have been identified. Many of the students are serviced within the general education setting alongside the classroom teacher and intervention specialist. Some of these students receive services that are more intensive and require the students to be in a resource room setting. Our intervention specialists work cooperatively with our classroom teachers and other school personnel to ensure a common understanding that meets the individual needs so that all students can show achievement resulting in academic success.
