BCS students shine in Lee’s Wall of Fame on 11-11-25
Bellefontaine City Schools is well represented in the Wall of Fame at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Bellefontaine.
The Bellefontaine Police Department, Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken, and 98.3 WPKO & 107.3 The Drive unveiled the newest Wall of Fame members Tuesday night.
Four students from Bellefontaine City Schools and two students from Calvary Christian were honored during the ceremony at the restaurant.
The inductees were chosen by staff members for their leadership, selfless service to others, and dedication to making our community better.
Each school was asked to select one student and provide a summary of why the student was chosen.
Their photo and summary are featured in the Wall of Fame display in the restaurant.
The inductees include:
Ryan Marvel, Bellefontaine Elementary School, 2nd-grader
Bellefontaine Elementary is honored to present the first quarter Lee’s Chicken Wall of Fame Award to second-grader Ryan Marvel. Ryan gives great effort every day. I appreciate his bravery, too. If he's unsure of an answer, he's willing to give his best guess. He's a great friend and so very kind as well.
David Garrison, Bellefontaine Intermediate School, 4th-grader
David is a true role model whom others naturally look up to and a shining example of what it means to be a leader. He consistently demonstrates exceptional character and integrity. He treats others with kindness, makes responsible choices, and leads by example every day. He is always the first to offer help to classmates, shows respect to everyone around him, and takes pride in giving his best effort. His positive attitude and strong work ethic make our classroom a better place. He approaches challenges with determination and a growth mindset, never giving up when things get tough. His leadership inspires others to do their best and contributes positively to our school community.
Keara Biddle, Bellefontaine Middle School, 7th-grader
Keara is what I believe to be a model student! She is always on task, always working to be the best version of herself and she is always asking great questions to ensure her own understanding. I admire how focused Keara can be in a classroom that can sometimes be noisy or a bit distracting; she is always working hard to be her best. I have also seen how kind Keara can be. I have seen her, several times, stop to help another student who may have dropped their stuff in the hallway, or assist a student with helping them understand a lesson or concept in class.
Nevaeh Whetsel, Bellefontaine High School, 12th-grader
Bellefontaine High School is proud to nominate Nevaeh Whetsel for the Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken Wall of Fame! Nevaeh, a dedicated senior, is an outstanding member of both the Pride of the Tribe Marching Band and the Jazz Band. Despite facing challenges, Nevaeh continues to rise above with determination, grace, and an unwaveringly positive attitude. She exemplifies what it means to be a true Chieftain—hardworking, kind, and resilient. Her bright spirit, willingness to help others, and commitment to excellence make her a shining example for her peers. The staff and students at Bellefontaine High School are incredibly proud of Nevaeh and grateful for the light she brings to our school community!
Karis Willetts, Calvary Christian Middle School, 8th-grader
Karis has been a student aide in the front office for 2 years. She demonstrates confidence, leadership, and most of all a Christ-like attitude. Karis has started a Bible study, is on the honor roll, ASB, active in her youth group and church, and shows initiative in all things. She helps lead worship at school, in her youth group, and at church. I have seen her show grit and remain Christ-like in tough situations. We are proud of Karis and feel she is an authentic leader of her class. She works hard in all she does.
Clara McGill, Calvary Christian High School, 10th-grader
Clara is a sophomore who is an authentic, driven, and humble leader. Clara not only pushes herself personally in her studies to grow and learn all that she can, but she also encourages others around her to rise to their best potential. Though she is not one to want to stand in the limelight, Clara stands up proudly for Jesus and her country and serves others with a huge heart. She boldly stepped forward and worked hard to facilitate the creation of a Club America Chapter (Turning Point USA) held at Calvary Christian School. She has the vision and drive to make positive changes in this world!
Family members and school administrators attended the ceremony, which was streamed live on https://peakofohiotv.com/
