BCS students shine in Lee’s Wall of Fame on 3-4-25
Bellefontaine City Schools is well represented in the Wall of Fame at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Bellefontaine.
The Bellefontaine Police Department, Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken, and 98.3 WPKO & 107.3 The Drive unveiled the newest Wall of Fame members Tuesday night.
Four students from Bellefontaine City Schools and two students from Calvary Christian were honored during the ceremony at the restaurant.
The inductees were chosen by staff members for their leadership, selfless service to others, and dedication to making our community better.
Each school was asked to select one student and provide a summary of why the student was chosen.
Their photo and summary are featured in the Wall of Fame display in the restaurant.
The inductees include:
Niko Urban, Bellefontaine Elementary School, 2nd-grader
BES is happy to select second-grader Niko Urban as our Lee's Wall of Fame award recipient for the third nine weeks. Niko is a wonderful student who is always doing the right thing. He is prepared for class and ready to learn daily. Niko is respectful to all students and adults. Not only is he an exceptional student behaviorally and academically, he is also really fun to be around! He has a great, outgoing personality and an infectious giggle! Everything is just better when Niko is around. He is everything we look for in a true Chieftain leader. Way to go, Niko!
Mason Rutherford, Bellefontaine Intermediate School, 5th-grader
Mason exemplifies what it means to be a true leader and role model at our school. He goes above and beyond in showing respect to both his peers and school staff, always leading with kindness and integrity. Whether it's offering a helping hand, encouraging a classmate, or simply brightening the room with his positive attitude, Mason consistently sets an example for others to follow. What truly sets Mason apart is his genuine character. He is always the first to apologize and the first to forgive, demonstrating maturity and compassion beyond his years. He treats everyone with kindness and respect, making sure that every person feels valued, regardless of friendship or familiarity. Mason embodies the qualities of a true Chieftain leader, and we are proud to recognize him as Lee's Chicken Student of the Quarter. Congratulations, Mason!
Eliza Wage, Bellefontaine Middle School, 7th-grader
Eliza is everything any teacher and/or parent would want their student/daughter to be. She is hard working and cares about her academics. She always does her best and stays on top of her work. She asks for clarification when she doesn't understand and helps other students with their work. Eliza is a kind young lady. She always supports her classmates and has a positive attitude. There isn't a day that goes by that Eliza doesn't have a smile on her face. She is a thoughtful, hardworking, amazing young lady!
Vanshika Shah, Bellefontaine High School, 10th-grader
Vanshika is an amazing student and person. She's always willing to help staff and students in the classroom. She is respectful of others and always looks to include others. Her maturity as a student is clear and she is very focused on working toward her goals. She advocates for herself, as well as others. BHS is proud of Vanshika and all the good she brings to our school and community.
Madelyn Carter, Calvary Christian Middle School, 8th-grader
Madelyn Carter is a phenomenal student because of her dedication, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm for learning. She actively participates in class, helps her peers, and consistently excels academically. Her positive attitude and leadership inspire others to do their best.
Daniel Young, Calvary Christian High School, 12th-grader
Daniel Young has consistently exemplified qualities of integrity and leadership. He approaches every situation with a calm, respectful demeanor and is always willing to lend a helping hand to both peers and teachers. Whether through mentoring underclassmen, actively contributing to school activities, or simply leading by example, Daniel has earned the admiration of his classmates and CCS staff alike. His unwavering commitment to integrity, compassion, and community service makes Daniel an outstanding representative of the values we cherish at our school.

Six new inductees will be announced after each quarter of the school year.
