Why you love being a Chieftain: Having gone through the school system myself and then having life find a way to bring me back as an educator has only enhanced my Chieftain Pride. I’ve had the good luck of not only learning in the classroom from some fine educators in my time spent here, but then also got to learn from some of them again in a professional setting. I think being a community member that has the good fortune to positively impact the lives of the children is what it’s all about for me. I enjoy giving them a positive male role model within the community to look up to or turn to.
Classroom motto or quote to live by: “Dream as if you’ll live forever. Live as if you’ll die today.” – James Dean
What you love doing outside of school: I carry my enjoyment of working with young kids into my out-of-school ventures by serving as assistant high school cross country coach in the fall and coaching city baseball in the spring. Beyond that, it’s all about maximizing my time with my family – Abby (wife), Ryan and Evan (sons), and Piper (daughter) – and friends with some of our favorite things being board games, sporting events, and supporting anything the kids in our lives are participating in!
