Smith named Tribe Member of the Week

Bellefontaine City Schools is proud to announce its Thursday Tribe Member of the Week.

Penny Smith is this week’s recipient.

Title: Bellefontaine City Schools Bus Driver

Years of experience: 24 years

Why you love being a Chieftain: I grew up a Chieftain! This is part of my old stomping grounds and part of who I am. My work is never dull and boring. There is a challenge every day. I love my bus kids as my own and my work family is pretty awesome. We have a job to do and we get it done TOGETHER!

Classroom motto or quote to live by: “In a circle, we are all equal. When in a circle, no one is in front of you, no one is behind you, no one is above you, and no one is below you. The circle is a symbol of unity.”

What you love doing outside of school: Spending time with my grandkids, baseball, camping, fishing, bonfires, crafting, my animals, and instructing others how to drive a bus. Anyone wanna learn!?
