Norton named Tribe Member of the Week

Tina Norton

Bellefontaine City Schools is proud to announce its Thursday Tribe Member of the Week.

Tina Norton is this week’s recipient.

Title: BCS Special Needs Bus Aide on the Bear Bus

Years of experience: 8 years

Why you love being a Chieftain: Being a Chieftain isn’t just something I say — it’s something I’ve lived my entire life. I graduated from Bellefontaine and years later I proudly watched my own children walk those same halls, then I sat in the stands as my grandchildren crossed that same stage. Now, my great-grandchildren are students here, continuing a legacy that spans generations. Today, I have the privilege of serving as a bus aide for special needs children. Every morning and afternoon, I get to care for and support some of the most incredible little hearts. Being part of their journey — even in a small way — means more than words can say. There’s something special about watching all your favorite people grow, learn, laugh, and succeed in the same place that helped shape you. It’s more than a school system. It’s family. It’s tradition. It’s community. Watching generations of my loved ones create memories here is truly good for the soul. Once a Chieftain, Always a Chieftain.

Classroom motto or quote to live by: “The best thing about memories is making them.”

What you love doing outside of school: I love spending time with family & friends and traveling.
