54 BHS seniors recognized at Rotary Honors Night

54 Bellefontaine High School senior scholars were recognized during the Bellefontaine Rotary Club’s 48th Annual Honors Night in the BHS Auditorium Monday evening.

260 seniors from Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, Indian Lake, Riverside, West Liberty-Salem, Calvary Christian, and Ohio Hi-Point Career Center were honored for achieving a 3.5 or higher grade point average throughout high school.

BHS Principal Cliff Core praised the seniors for their academic excellence.

The Rotary Club also awarded eight $1,000 scholarships to Logan County students.

This year’s recipients are:

Taytum Daniels – Benjamin Logan

Kelley Forsythe – Benjamin Logan

Noah Stanford – Benjamin Logan

Halle Roby – Indian Lake

Brianna Brandyberry – Riverside

Avery Perk – Riverside

Max Rudolph – West Liberty-Salem

The Rotary Club Scholarships have been awarded since 1964. To date, the local club has awarded over $285,000.

The guest speaker was Jerome Township Administrator Brandon Standley.

Standley, who graduated from BHS in 1990, spoke about the importance of service.

He explained how giving back benefits a community and is very fulfilling.

Standley recently started his own consulting business named Trusted Elite.
