BHS hosts Fall Choir Festival; seven area schools featured

BHS Concert Choir

Bellefontaine High School hosted the Fall Choir Festival in the main gym Tuesday night.

A large crowd was entertained by seven local schools.

The Bellefontaine Concert Choir opened the show.

They were followed by the Riverside Chorus, Calvary Christian High School Choir, Jackson Center High School Choir, West Liberty-Salem Varsity Choir, Indian Lake High School Chorale, Benjamin Logan High School Chorale, and Bellefontaine Symphonic Choir.

The Bellefontaine Concert Choir performed “Ballad of the Witches Road” and “Belong Together.”

Zeke Finch and Harmoni Johnson were soloists.

The Bellefontaine Symphonic Choir performed the processional “Dance Alleluia” along with “Nothin’ Gonna Stumble My Feet,” “Love Will Remain,” and “Morning Glow.”

Elliett Lang was a descant, and Summer Maley was a soloist.

Brice Henry is the director of the BHS Concert Choir and Symphonic Choir.

He said, “I think the evening went very smoothly. All of the choirs are very talented, and it just shows that music is very strong in our area.”

Leslie Steiner was the accompanist for the BHS Concert Choir and BHS Symphonic Choir.

The final selection featured the eight choirs teaming up to perform “The Lord Bless You and Keep You.”

BHS choir and orchestra members are prepping for their holiday concert, which will be Thursday, December 18th at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
