BHS Robotics shines at Highland Qualifier, advances to state
The Bellefontaine High School Robotics teams shined in the Highland Stakes competition over the weekend, continuing their strong performances throughout the season.
Representing BHS were:
Carnage (9185C) Lorenz Henry, Hayden Maus, Alex Sandoval, Cody Robb, Fletcher Roberts, Will Myers, and Steven Fulmer
Terminator (9185T) Alex Cavanaugh, Mason Swisher, Dalton Frazier, Marek Frazier, Haydon Argabright, Graham Trittschuh, and Will Gates
Venom (9185V) Andy McDonald, Brody Miranda, Tristyn Wilson, Trinity Fout, Jacob Lynch, Jay Tuttle, and Shota Bello
All three teams put together a strong showing at the Highland Qualifier with Carnage going 7-1, Terminator finishing 5-2, and Venom going 6-3 and placing into the semifinals.
9185T - Terminator has officially secured a spot in the state championship, marking a significant achievement for the team. Meanwhile, Carnage and Venom remain in strong contention for state qualification as they continue their competitive season.
Throughout the year, the teams have showcased their engineering and strategic talents at three signature events, where they consistently delivered impressive results. 9185C - Carnage has earned second interviews at all but one event this season, demonstrating their standout performance in judged categories. Additionally, 9185C has won both the Judges Award and the Innovate Award, while 9185T also claimed an Innovate Award earlier in the season.
With their continued success, all three teams are in position to show strong competition for the state championship, setting the stage for an exciting finish to the season. Their dedication, teamwork, and innovation highlight the strength of the local robotics community, and they remain focused on achieving even greater milestones in the coming weeks.

Bellefontaine City Schools will host the Showdown at the Peak Robotics competition at BHS on Saturday, February 15th.
