The Bellefontaine Middle School Robotics season kicked off at the North Union Robotics Qualifier on Saturday.

The big highlight came from Team 9185B, the Banana Boys, who battled their way to become Tournament Champions! They teamed up with Team ZMS Robotics from Zanesville Middle School to take home the top prize. Both teams earned a trip to the Ohio State VEX Robotics competition his spring! The Banana Boys are Colson Garver, Beau Gibson, Beckett Kesler, Jackson Lynch, and Jackson Maus.

Team 9185F, the Picklebots, also had an amazing day, finishing the qualifying rounds with a strong 5-1 record. They made it all the way to the semifinals before being knocked out in a close match. The Picklebots are Zane Chiles, Jayden Lambert, and Owen Smith.

Other Bellefontaine teams — 9185D, 9185N, 9185S, and 9185Y — worked hard, showed great teamwork, and learned a lot through the day’s matches.

All of Bellefontaine’s robotics students represented their school and community with pride, dedication, and sportsmanship.

Bellefontaine City Schools Robotics will be in action again on Saturday, November 15th at Bellefontaine Middle School for "King of the Hill." The tournament runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
