Ashlyn Gonterman Alumni Spotlight

What are you doing now?

I graduated Early, not the best grades and was sometimes in a rough spot with school. Even with that I went on to work at a daycare and then I saw an opportunity with the Elementary School as a paraprofessional. I knew I wanted to work with kids, applied, got the job and saw the amazing staff and students I got to work with, I would never look back now.

How did BCS prepare you for this role?

They prepared me by teaching me how to love. The teachers I have had. (Shoutout to Mr. Cordell) have taught me how to love the small things in life, with all the small things that come our way and though life can be challenging when you make your way back they provide you with so much love.

What is your advice for current Chieftains?

Take time to find yourself, don’t get caught up in the ways of other peers.

Who at BCS inspired you?

Mr. Cordell!

What was your favorite memory from your time at BCS?

The talks I had with my teachers about my future.

What was your favorite meal in the cafeteria?

Pizza!!!
