Brandy (Zedeker) Bowers-Alumni Spotlight

What are you doing now?

After graduation I went into the geriatric medical field working 20 years at Green Hills becoming the Assistant Director of Community Services. I then took my daughter Violet’s senior year off work. That year a turn of events occurred and my husband Mark and I took custody of my three cousins Skybree, Jeffrey and Addie. I was out of the work field for several years, starting over raising kids again. I then decided to take a complete career change after going back to work and became a Bellefontaine City Schools van and bus driver. Which I am ABSOLUTELY LOVING!!!!

How did BCS prepare you for this role?

First and foremost respect. Respect for teachers, parents, and classmates. The Golden Rule was not only taught but expected. Treat others as you want to be treated.
What is your advice for current Chieftains?
Learn and practice the Golden Rule not just in school but every aspect of your life. Respect is not given. It is earned. And goes a long way in life.

Who at BCS inspired you?

Mr. Gleason, Mr. Bell, Mr. Barlow, Mrs. (Secrist) Young.

What was your favorite memory from your time at BCS?

Our class never seemed to have cliques. We all got along and that lead to many wild adventures and fun times.

What was your favorite meal in the cafeteria?

Old school square pizza from Southeastern
