Brian Hogan Alumni Spotlight

In this week's Alumni Spotlight, we're catching up with alumna Brian Hogan

Brian Hogan

What are you doing now?

After teaching at BCS for 8 years, I was principal for 7 years and am serving in my second year as Superintendent for Ridgemont Local Schools in Hardin County, OH.

How did BCS prepare you for this role?

I felt like I got a well-rounded education from high-quality teachers at BHS! I was involved in everything and had an opportunity to do the things that I loved!

What is your advice for current Chieftains?

Keep learning and learn from every situation! Even failure is an opportunity to learn and improve in a positive direction!

Who at BCS inspired you?

There are two people: my former middle school history teacher, Miss Knecht and an amazing teacher and colleague, Mrs. Kristy Mount! These two women  not only helped to mold me into the person I am today, but also are the reasons that I went into education!

What was your favorite memory from your time at BCS?

My junior year of football going 10-0, that whole season was a fun ride. And every musical and show choir event I ever did!

What was your favorite meal in the cafeteria?

School pizza day… but… I also got to leave school and go out for lunch! So… those were better!

Are you an alumnus of Bellefontaine City Schools?  If so, we'd love to hear from you!
We're excited to hear about your accomplishments and are eager to share your successes and advice with our current students, families, and the Bellefontaine community. Please take a few minutes to complete the quick questionnaire at: https://www.bcs-k12.org/about/alumni/alumni-spotlight regarding your current position and your career
