Brianna Burkhammer Alumni Spotlight

What are you doing now?

I graduated from Clark State’s LPN program in 2022. I’m currently a nurse at Logan acres senior community full time. I’m also currently in the RN program through Clark State where I will graduate next December hoping to become a labor and delivery nurse.

How did BCS prepare you for this role?

I had so many amazing mentors and teachers. Specifically, DECA and Mrs. Rychener really helped pave the way for me. Through my project as well for nationals the 3 E’s it helped inspire me to go for my educational goals in becoming a nurse.

What is your advice for current Chieftains?

Take every opportunity you have and don’t take anything for granted. Be as involved as you can be. High school goes by fast and one day you will miss it! Especially my classmates and I who missed half of our senior year due to COVID.

Who at BCS inspired you?

So many. Mrs. Rychener, Mr. Brown, Mrs. Galloway and so many more. My amazing coaches.

What was your favorite memory from your time at BCS?

Definitely from sports. Senior year soccer we beat the only undefeated team in the league. For cheer we won so many competitions including CBC’s. And for track my friends and I hold the 4x1 and 4x2 records at the middle school.

What was your favorite meal in the cafeteria?

Ravioli!!
