In this week's Alumni Spotlight, we're catching up with alumna Curt Peterson, 1969
What are you doing now?
Been married to Doreen Mackesy Peterson for 53 years. 2 children, Ryan (class of 95) and Katie (class of 01). Spent 45 years as an insurance agent, 40 with Nationwide Insurance. Now retired. Graduated from Tiffin university, spent 6 years on the Board of Directors of Alumni Association. Past president of Logan County Fish and Game, past member of Indian Lake chamber of commerce.
How did BCS prepare you for this role?
BHS had the curriculum I needed to enroll in college.
What is your advice for current Chieftains?
Take the classes you need to get you started in the field you are considering for college and a career.
Who at BCS inspired you?
Roy McClanahan, my business and DECA instructor. I wanted a career in business and he kept pointing me in the right direction and encouraging me to work on it
What was your favorite memory from your time at BCS?
Classmates, we had and still do have a very tight class. Very supportive of each other. Also my time was spent in sports, football, basketball and baseball.
What was your favorite meal in the cafeteria?
Really didn’t mind any of the meals, probably the Johnny Marietta.
