Alumni Spotlight:

Isaac Newman-Alumni Spotlight

In this week's Alumni Spotlight, we're catching up with alumna Isaac Newman, class of 2019

What are you doing now?

After graduating from BHS in 2019, I attended Ohio University, where I earned my bachelor’s degree. While in school, I also completed my Real Estate License through Hondros College of Real Estate. Since then, I’ve been putting both to good use—working at Mary Rutan Health and helping people buy and sell homes. In 2024, I married my best friend, and we’re now excitedly preparing to welcome our first baby girl this fall! We’re proud to call Bellefontaine home and will always be Chieftains at heart!

How did BCS prepare you for this role?

BHS prepared me for both of my roles by teaching me the importance of time management, communication, and adaptability. Through my classes and extracurricular activities, I learned how to balance multiple responsibilities, work effectively with different personalities, and think critically to solve problems. These skills now help me serve clients in real estate with professionalism and efficiency, while also managing detailed projects in a hospital IT environment.

What is your advice for current Chieftains?

Be true to yourself. The opinions you worry about now, will mean nothing in 5 years.

Who at BCS inspired you?

Coach Jason Brown - not only a wonderful coach and mentor but also a true friend to all who surround him.

What was your favorite memory from your time at BCS?

My favorite memory from BCS has to be the entire 2017–2018 football season. CBC Champs, a home playoff game, and an unforgettable Granville beatdown. The school spirit that year was unmatched.

What was your favorite meal in the cafeteria?

Cheese sticks no doubt!
