In this week's Alumni Spotlight, we're catching up with alumna Tony Parmer

What are you doing now?

You mean I get a chance to brag about myself? Retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years. Since, I have supported the following GOV Agencies-BOP, FBI, CIA, DEA, USMS, and HHS-OIG. I've traveled the world for both work and pleasure. All of this is crazy to believe I am sure for those who remember me. I was the skinny guy who I am sure collected the most demerits his Senior year. Mr. Barlow used to ask if I went home early if he didn't receive one for me.

How did BCS prepare you for this role?

I think the small town and class size helped me understand the importance of being a team member.

What is your advice for current Chieftains?

Don't let folks tell you that you must go to college after high school. I have 2 Masters Degrees, and have completed a few certificate programs from Harvard Business School and Cornell University. All without student loans. Set your own path. Don't follow others, be a leader who is willing to take the road less traveled.

Who at BCS inspired you?

Mr. Barlow - American History I & II.

What was your favorite memory from your time at BCS?

Graduation- does that count? Lol

What was your favorite meal in the cafeteria?

Pizza - those squares are irresistible
