Carey named Tribe Member of the Week
Bellefontaine City Schools is proud to announce its Thursday Tribe Member of the Week.
Dr. Jill Carey is this week’s recipient.
Title: Bellefontaine High School Biology and Forensic Science Teacher
Years of experience: 25 years
Why you love being a Chieftain: I love being a Chieftain because every day, I witness something incredible—students who show up ready to grow, who think deeply, who struggle, who try again, and who never stop moving forward. Being part of their journey as they uncover their strengths and build their confidence is one of the true joys of teaching. I remind them often that we’re here for progress, not perfection. Aim to be a little better today than you were yesterday and keep building.
Classroom motto or quote to live by: “Life is a journey, not a destination.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson and “Strive for progress, not perfection.”
What you love doing outside of school: I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, cooking, baking, and especially mowing (yes, mowing).
