Bellefontaine City Schools is proud to announce its Thursday Tribe Member of the Week.
Christi Dodds is this week’s recipient.
Title: Bellefontaine Elementary School 2nd Grade Teacher
Years of experience: 25 years
Why you love being a Chieftain: I went to BCS from kindergarten through 12th grade. Being a Chieftain is all I’ve ever known. I had many great teachers who inspired me to go into the profession.
Classroom motto or quote to live by: “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” – Benjamin Franklin
“The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called truth.” – Dan Rather
“Invest in our teachers, and our children will succeed.” – Barack Obama
What you love doing outside of school: I enjoy spending time and traveling with my fiancé. We’re looking forward to getting married this summer. We also enjoy spending time with family. I enjoy going on golf trips during the summer with a great group of friends.
