Richters named Tribe Member of the Week

Bellefontaine City Schools is proud to announce its Thursday Tribe Member of the Week.

Meredith Richters is this week’s recipient.

Title: Bellefontaine High School French and English Teacher

Years of experience: 4 years

Why you love being a Chieftain: I love being a Chieftain first and foremost because of the people. I have met so many incredible people in the school district and feel so grateful to have worked with such talented, passionate, driven students during my time here. People here are truly passionate about their community and go to great lengths to take care of one another.

Classroom motto or quote to live by: At the front of my classroom, I have my favorite quote from The Little Prince: “On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur. L'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.”

“It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.”

It's a reminder to see the good in everything, especially beyond what the eye can observe. The most important things in life are not physically obtained; they are developed with care over time.

What you love doing outside of school: I love to swim, play my oboe and flute, spend time with my friends and family, and hang out with my cat.
