Tami Scott named Tribe Member of the Week
Bellefontaine City Schools is proud to announce its Thursday Tribe Member of the Week.
Tami Scott is this week’s recipient.
Title: Bellefontaine Middle School Nurse
Years of experience: 25 years
Why you love being a Chieftain: I’m thankful to have been placed in this position working alongside some other amazing nurses and co-workers which have become close friends over the years. I love taking care of the children in our community, watching them grow and overcome many obstacles along the way to success. I’ve connected with not only the students, but with the families as a whole, which is a true blessing!
Classroom motto or quote to live by: “God spoke to me and called me to His service. What form this service was to take the voice did not say.”
“Let us never consider ourselves finished nurses. We must be learning all of our lives.”
These quotes are by Florence Nightingale, who became a caring nurse and leader of her time that devoted her life to caring for those in need. Known as “The Lady with the Lamp,” day and night she went out of her way to ensure her patients were taken care of. She was known for making the hospitals a clean and safe place for all.
What you love doing outside of school: I love traveling with my husband and spending time with my family. I enjoy visiting antique shops & craft shows, planting flowers while watching the hummingbirds, kayaking, horseback riding, and just relaxing at the beach with a good book.
